I forgot about Edge entirely (D'oh!) or I would have used that. Thinking it could still be choking on GOG's end I decided to try another browser. Just about what I would expect, based on the fraction of my bandwidth Firefox reported using. I fired up internet explorer, and was able to run a speed test at 800Mb/sec. I tried to go to, but it wouldn't even load. ![]() I assumed it was on GOG's end, and continued browsing other sites.īut, I noticed the browser was sluggish, and eventually, after half an hour, I tried to determine if it was my connection, or GOG's limits that were to blame. That equates to about 100Mb/sec, not 1Gb. I kicked them all off, and was surprised to see that they were downloading at just ~3MB/second each. The download consisted of 4 * ~4GB files, and an installer (~1MB). ![]() I have gigabit internet, so expected things to be fast. I recently built a new PC, and wanted to download a game from GOG. When I attempted to download 4 large files simultaneously in Firefox, it slows the entire browser to a crawl and the files themselves take an eternity to download.
